SAVE THE DATE:  NOVEMBER 1 & 2, 2010
INDUSTRY – GOVERNMENT HOUSING AFFORDABILITY SYMPOSIUM
CO-PRESENTING SPONSOR: BC HOUSING
Delta Vancouver Airport in Richmond, BC

This fall marks an important event for housing in the province of British Columbia. On November 1 & 2, the residential construction industry in partnership with all three levels of government is hosting HAS: Housing Affordability Symposium.

This event is the first of its kind as it brings together stakeholders to openly discuss barriers and solutions to housing affordability in BC. Unlike the issue of affordable housing, which deals with issues of social housing, this symposium is solely focused on market housing affordability to lower housing costs or remove barriers of entry for all British Columbians.

More than an educational conference, this symposium provides multiple roundtable discussions amongst all attendees to delve into real housing affordability issues to lower housing costs or remove barriers to entry for all British Columbians. Join with your fellow peers of elected officials, construction industry leaders, and members of government to engage on this critical issue for the future of housing.

Save the date to attend this important event. More details on how to register and participate in this event will be coming early September. To sponsor a discussion table, book exhibit space, or learn more about partnership opportunities, please contact Alix Russell at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC: 604-432-7112 x322, or 604-785-2227.
