Committees

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC) is an industry leader committed to providing high-quality and responsive education. Guided by the Strategic Plan, CHBA BC strikes education program advisory groups and task forces to help inform its training  initiatives, and advance the professionalism of the industry at large.

The purpose of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC Government Relations Committee is to identify, research and address issues in the industry. This includes supplying the Association with information regarding existing and/or developing issues that have a potential impact on the residential construction industry in British Columbia. The Government Relations Committee is guided by the CHBA BC Strategic Plan.

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC Technical Research Committee (TRC) combines representatives from across the province together with government officials, researchers, supplier associations, warranty officials, standards organizations and others to focus on technical issues in housing. TRC also plays an active role in public reviews of building code changes and supports communications across local offices to actively engage builders.

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC Renovator’s Council raises the professionalism of renovators, fostering an environment in which Professional Renovators can operate their businesses profitably. The committee communicates information to members in a timely manner through a defined channel as well as assists in the creation of flexible, cost-effective and accessible education programs.
