Government Submissions

Bringing the Industry’s Voice to the Provincial Table

Through submissions, letters, and direct engagement with the provincial government, CHBA BC makes sure the challenges and priorities of B.C.’s home builders are heard by the people making decisions about housing.

As the provincial voice of the residential construction industry, we work with the B.C. government to shape the provincial policies, legislation, and regulations that affect how homes get built across the province. Our submissions and letters bring the real-world experience of builders, developers, renovators, trades, and industry professionals to Ministers, MLAs, and ministry staff in Victoria.

We respond to provincial consultations, participate on policy committees, take part in the annual pre-budget process, and write directly to the Premier and Ministers when an issue needs attention. In everything we send, we focus on practical, evidence-based solutions that improve housing supply and attainability in B.C.
