Nanaimo Meeting with Minister Bruce Ralston

On Tuesday, March 22, CHBA BC staff and CHBA VI members, Momentum Design Build and Böehm Construction toured several construction projects in Nanaimo with Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, Bruce Ralston.

The group discussed heat pump installation and builders’ experience with its performance and homeowner responses. It was a valuable discussion with Minister Ralston about what our members have learned regarding heat pumps.

CHBA BC President, Alex Tavuchis also visited the site of the Nanaimo Community Hospice Dream Home Lottery. This exciting project brings together the Nanaimo Community Hospice Society, the Canadian Homebuilders’ Association – Vancouver Island and community partners. Dream Home Lottery ticket sales will directly support the Nanaimo Hospice in their future services.
