CHBA BC Appoints New Manager, Communications and Marketing

Burnaby, B.C. February 11, 2022 – The Canadian Home Builders' Association of BC (CHBA BC) is pleased to announce that Rob Viccars has been hired as Manager, Communications and Marketing, commencing February 7.
"Rob brings a wealth of experience to this newly created position and will help us elevate our communications and marketing activities. The timing also coincides with the recent completion of a new three-year strategic plan," said CEO Neil Moody.
"The residential construction industry has continued building the much-needed homes in British Columbia, demonstrating resiliency during a time rife with summer wildfires, floods, devastation, and a prolonged worldwide pandemic. We are excited to bring Rob on board when our Association is experiencing continued growth," added Moody.
"I'm very excited to be joining the team at CHBA BC. I'm looking forward to using my experience in the public sector to enhance the Association's communications efforts and support the great work being done by the local affiliated associations across the province." said Rob.
As Manager, Communications and Marketing, Rob's role will include all aspects of our expanding communications activities through our various channels and CHBA BC marketing initiatives.
Before joining CHBA BC, Rob spent years in corporate communications at BC Housing, managing events and sponsorship and providing leadership and direction on high-profile internal and external communications strategies.
One of Rob's career highlights is the five years he spent in the public relations department of the Vancouver Canucks, coordinating the team's travel and media relations efforts.
Rob has also worked freelance and contract, providing communications advice to small businesses and youth sports organizations.
When he's not working, Rob can be found on the soccer pitch with his two children and wife, Deb. He's always happy to chat about European football, particularly the English Premier League, over a hoppy IPA.
