Prerequisites for recognition as a Certified Residential Building Company
Be a member in good standing of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association for a minimum two-year period.
Be registered with BC Housing Licensing & Consumer Services.
Employ a Certified Housing Professional in a position of responsibility.
Provide a recent reference letter from a warranty provider.
Businesses are granted Certified Residential Building Company status for a one-year period, after which they will receive an annual fee renewal notice.
Membership with CHBA is a requirement for earning and maintaining a certificate.
