BC Goverment Announces Single Housing Application Service
On Monday, September 18, CHBA BC was pleased to be a part of the announcement of the Single Housing Application Service in at Richmond Plywood.
The Application Service responds to a long-standing challenge our builders experience as they seek provincial approvals for projects.
Historically, the challenge stemmed from coordinating with multiple ministries and not having a line of sight on what you need for your application, what is happening with it, and who to turn to when stuck – leaving an applicant waiting as much as two years to receive a response.
We are optimistic the new service will help streamline the provincial approval process, allowing builders to get much-needed homes started, hopefully faster than before.
