CHBA BC 2026 Board of Directors representing all eight local associations

BURNABY, BC (March 11, 2026) – Penticton builder and renovator Wally James has been named
President of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia (CHBA BC) at the
association’s Annual General Meeting held on March 10 in Victoria. James will lead the provincial
association in 2026, working alongside a newly elected executive committee tasked with guiding
CHBA BC’s strategic direction for the year ahead.

Originally from Australia, James is the owner of Buccaneer Contracting, a Penticton-based residential
building and renovation company serving homeowners throughout the South Okanagan.

“These are complex, challenging times for CHBA BC and the home building industry at large,” said
James. “I’m glad to be part of a tight, capable leadership and staff team that will continue to support
our members and further strengthen the association.”

A Past President of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association South Okanagan, James has also served
as First Vice President at both the provincial and local association levels, helping strengthen
collaboration across the CHBA network. Beyond the building industry, he has spent more than 30
years volunteering as an official in ski racing and mountain bike racing, reflecting a long-standing
commitment to sport and community in the Okanagan.
