CHBA BC Board Elects Randy Chin to Vacant 1st Vice President Position
BURNABY, British Columbia, March 10, 2023 — CEO Neil Moody is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Randy Chin has been officially appointed by the Board of Directors as the 1st Vice President of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC).
Randy was elected to this position following a vote by the Board of Directors earlier this week in connection to the vacant officer position on the CHBA BC Executive Committee. He received a unanimous vote from the Board.
As this is a succession position, Randy will become president of the provincial association at the next AGM on May 19, 2023.
“Randy has been a leader in our association for several years. He brings a wealth of knowledge about the industry, a passion for excellence and inclusion, and a drive to help get more housing built which is so desperately needed by British Columbians, ” said current CHBA BC President Cassidy deVeer. “I am looking forward to working closely with him during his presidency and know that we will be in good hands for years to come.”
Randy has served on CHBA BC’s Executive Committee for the last five years in the role of Secretary/Treasurer and helped steward the association through complex challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also the current Past President of the Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) and Board Director for CHBA National, serving on the Urban Council Committee.
As the Regional Manager Mortgage Specialists, Randy leads RBC’s Vancouver Downtown market. His enthusiasm and passion for construction, development and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association was ignited when Randy led RBC’s residential construction program for nearly a decade.
CHBA BC would like to thank Randy for his ongoing commitment to our members, strategic initiatives and housing excellence. We look forward to working with him in the role of president.
