CHBA BC Presents 2022 Local Association Awards

As part of last week’s provincial meetings, CHBA BC celebrated the work of our local associations and those who keep everything running smoothly for members in their regions.

CHBA BC Association Awards were presented to:

1. Member Engagement Award - This award is presented to the Local Home Builders’ Association deemed to have executed effective member events, maintained high retention rates and membership activities:

  • CHBA Central Okanagan

2. New Member Recruitment Award for Highest Percentage Increase in 2021 - This award is presented to the local association that has the highest percentage increase in new members over the course of the year:

  • CHBA Sea to Sky and CHBA Central Okanagan

3. New Member Recruitment Award for Highest Number of New Members In 2021 - This award goes to the local association with the greatest gain in new members between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021:

  • CHBA Central Okanagan

4. Member Recognition Awards - Presented to two individuals for their outstanding volunteer contributions to the CHBA BC and sitting on the executive and committees:

  • Matt McCurrach, CHBA Central Interior

5. Member Recognition Award:

  • Joe Hart, CHBA Northern BC

6. Executive Officer of the Year Award - The Executive Officer of the Year award recognizes the highest level of dedication, professionalism, competence, and leadership at the local level:

  • Rose Choy, CHBA Central Interior

7. CHBA BC Member of the Year Award - The Award recognizes the member’s effort to promote the mission and vision of the Association provincially.:

  • Tom Calne, CHBA Central Interior

8. Association of the Year Award - The Association of the Year Award recognizes overall excellence by a local association. The association will have delivered a strong and positive voice for the residential construction industry, provided opportunities and support for members, and helped raise the profile of their local with consumers and within the community:

  • CHBA Central Interior

CHBA BC is pleased to recognize these award winners, and to also acknowledge the hard work of all the local associations, their boards and executive officers to represent their members across the province.
