CHBA BC Wins the Home Builders’ Association of the Year Award

Burnaby, B.C., May 7 – The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC) is thrilled to announce that we have been recognized as the Home Builders’ Association of the Year during the annual CHBA national association awards held virtually today.

With over 50 home building associations across the CHBA network that represent 9,000 member companies in Canada including 2,100 in British Columbia, CHBA BC has been recognized for its outstanding work in advocacy, delivering a strong voice that supports the business success of industry members and enhances their ability to provide affordability, quality and choice in housing for consumers.

“To be the recipient of the Home Builders’ Association of the Year award is both humbling and rewarding. It has been a difficult year for many during the pandemic, and what we have noticed is members have looked to the association for extra support and information to help them navigate through this period. Our team has worked tirelessly and collaboratively with all our local associations to ensure members followed safety protocols while ensuring the industry remained open, so members could keep building much needed homes for British Columbians. To win the Home Builders’ Association of the Year is a great honour that recognizes the work of all our staff and one we can be very proud of” stated CHBA BC CEO Neil Moody.

In 2020, CHBA BC was also the recipient of the national Canadian Events Awards for Best Event Produced by an Association, Board or Committee for CHBA BC’s Georgie Awards program.
